October 17th, 2012 - IRVINE, Calif., – Toyota Material Handling U.S.A., Inc. (TMHU) today announced Toyota Genuine Parts ranked highest against competing brands in all four categories measured in the recent 2012 Lift Truck Parts Study.

Material handling professionals that participated in the survey rated Toyota the highest in terms of reliability, durability, quality and as the best value for the money for their lift truck parts.

The annual independent survey, conducted by Peerless Research Group, gauges what material handling professionals consider as the most important attributes for lift truck parts purchases and which brands of lift truck parts lead in these key factors.

"At Toyota, we design our forklift parts with the same high levels of quality, dependability and reliability as our forklifts," said Terry Rains, vice president of aftermarket sales for TMHU. "This survey validates Toyota’s long standing mission to provide parts and accessories that prolong the life of a forklift and maximize the trade-in value."

Responses were collected from more than 400 industry decision-makers, readers of Modern Materials Handling magazine, involved in the purchasing of material handling equipment, products, technologies and services. The majority of those surveyed are plant managers, distribution center and warehouse managers, and corporate managers within manufacturing and distribution facilities across a wide range of businesses and industries including automotive, food and beverage, machinery and wholesale trade.

Respondents’ comments regarding Toyota lift truck parts, included:

"I’ve had Toyotas for many years and typically get much more than the industry standard life expectancy."

Toyota has the best quality parts because they care and will go out of their way to give you the best service.

The parts fit and do not need to be replaced over and over.
